The latest fast-displacement motor yacht from Taiwanese yard Horizon Yachts, the 27.45-metre Horizon FD87 Skyline has completed sea trials and is preparing for her delivery to the USA. As the third Horizon FD87 Skyline to be built by the yard, she features a walkaround bridge deck design, with in-house naval architecture and interior design and exterior design by Dutch designer Cor D. Rover. 
Photo: Horizon YachtsThis incorporation of the walkaround design on the bridge deck aims to bring increased flexibility to the enclosed skylounge, aft boat deck, and forward entertaining area by allowing an easy transition between spaces for both guests and crew.
Photo: Horizon YachtsWith functionality at the core of her design, her interior and exterior layouts have been created to take full advantage of her generous volume, with areas designed with entertaining and relaxation at the fore.
The spacious salon, dining area and galley benefit from floor-to-ceiling windows, with an interior lighting package incorporated in order to enhance the feeling of spaciousness throughout. Her modern loft-style interior is complemented by the contemporary feel of her exterior styling. 
Photo: Horizon YachtsAs for the materials used in her interiors, oak wood finish is accompanied by darker sole and Wenge detailing, with stonework in warm grey and white balancing the wood finish. Colourwise, neutral shades are matched by blues and purples in various patterns and textures to boost visual interest.

Photo: Horizon YachtsWith a beam of 7.08-metres, the third Horizon FD87 Skyline features an on-deck ensuite master stateroom and four additional guest staterooms below deck, comprising one VIP cabin at bow, two mirrored guest cabins midships and a twin stateroom.
Photo: Horizon YachtsAft, the boat deck is outfitted with entertainment in mind, offering a bar and grill area beyond the skylounge as well as a sofa and tender space, with sunshades extending the covered protection of this area.
The bar can be found aft and the enclosed skylounge and bridge area is complete with a dayhead and relaxed dinette area with low coffee tables. Doors to port and starboard provide access to the side deck and docking wing stations.

Photo: Horizon YachtsPowered by twin MTU 1600hp engines, the FD87 Skyline achieved nearly 21 knots at half load during her recent sea trials.
She is also fitted with a full complement of equipment including Apple TVs and Bose sound equipment, ABT bow/stern thrusters, ABT zero-speed stabilizers and a Maretron control and monitoring system.

In addition, the construction of hull #4 - which the shipyard explains will be an inventory yacht for Europe - is also equally far underway. The delivery of this yacht will be for the start of the season and she is also available for sale.
