Following the debut of the first model in Horizon Yachts’ FD Series in Taiwan earlier this year, the 26-metre FD85, Horizon Yachts has revealed two additional models that form part of the series: the FD74 and FD102.
The largest of the FD series at 31.7 metres is the FD102, and features an open bridge punctuated by fold-down balconies that work to extend the expansive al fresco living space. Fitted with innovative amenities and options throughout, the FD102 offers five staterooms including a full-beam master on the main deck as well as crew accommodation on the lower deck. As with the other models in the FD series, the FD102 features large windows in the spacious main salon and formal dining area and plenty of opportunities for customisation.
Featuring naval architecture by Cor D. Rover, the team state safety, style, relaxation areas and the maximisation of space were the key points of focus. “Many clients come to Horizon for a mid-size yacht and want to enjoy their yacht with family and friends,” Cor D. Rover says. “Entertaining is an important factor in their layout choices, as is the ability for the owners to easily manage the yacht themselves.”
Horizon founder, John Lu, takes pride in the latest additions to the FD series, commenting: “Blending contemporary interior and exterior styling and functional design with flexible performance capabilities, the FD series encompasses the ultimate in versatile displacement motoryacht design. Collaborating with a designer as talented as Cor D. Rover has brought yet another unique style to our expansive range of motor yachts for passionate owners.”
Hull 1 of the FD85 debuted at the Taiwan Boat Show earlier this year, with the third hull scheduled to make her appearance in the U.S. in 2017. The FD74 and FD102 models are currently in final design and engineering stages.
