How SYT iQ makes the life of a yacht broker easier

The superyacht market is booming and it is getting harder to find the right yacht for your clients. Are you still wasting your time on doing research while you could be selling yachts? With SYT iQ we can make your life easier and save you time, here is how we can help you:

09:00 Daily Market Update

The daily market update comes in and I see a yacht that is perfect for my client. So I click on the yacht, create a branded PDF with my contact details and email it to the client.Monaco Yacht Show 2019Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht Times

10:00 Find a yacht on the market

I get a call from one of my long-time clients who wants to upgrade to a 40-45m Dutch built yacht, but not older than 5 years. I log in to SYT iQ, make the selection and create a branded PDF brochure with my contact details which I email to the client.

11:00 Intelligence request from a client

Another client anchored in Porto Cervo has seen a cool yacht and he wants to know who owns it. While on the call, I log into SYT iQ and instantly provide him with the answer.

12:00 Provide evidence for a price reduction

The client of one of the yachts I am promoting for sale calls asking why his yacht is not sold yet. I argue that we should lower the price, but she is not convinced. So in SYT iQ I select similar yachts, which are better priced than her yacht and I export these in an Excel file to provide to the client. An hour later, I get a call pack to lower the price.Monaco Yacht Show 2019Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht Times

14:00 Research new CA yachts

Several of the central agency yachts that I had for sale have been sold, so it will be good to find a few new ones. In SYT iQ, I look up the yacht that has been with the same CA for 5 and 11 months, as the contracts usually expire after 6 or 12 months, so there might be an opportunity for me. With this information, I reach out to some of the captains and owners of these yachts with details that I can find in SYT iQ.

15:00 Prospect new clients

One of my central agency yachts for sale is a Westport 130 yacht and I want to be proactive and see if I can find a buyer. Westport has a very loyal customer base, so I will look up all the owners of the Westport 112 yachts in SYT iQ and get in touch with them to bring my Westport 130 to their attention.Project Cosmos yacht in build at Heesen YachtsPhoto: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht Times

16:00 New-build request

One of my clients is considering buying a new 55m to 65m motor yacht. He asks me to research the availability at European shipyards, the delivery times for a bespoke project, and what is available for sale. In SYT iQ I create a branded PDF of everything new and for sale. Furthermore, I look at the latest projects' delivery times to understand what the first possible delivery slot could be.SYT iQ
