German builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5961" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alva Yachts (Company)">ALVA Yachts</a> has unveiled the first renderings for a new 23.7-metre Ocean Eco 78 multihull yacht. The advanced electric yacht will join the shipyard’s growing fleet, which includes the flagship 27.5-metre Ocean Eco 90.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/262793/image/large-ef2c87a0179b87414e8e15bf59833033.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/262793">Designed with luxury and performance in mind, the Ocean Eco 78 catamaran boasts the latest technology developments with integrated solar panels and a fully-electric drive. After selling the firm to First Niagara Financial Group, Rob was appointed as the company’s Senior Vice President, where he guided the Insurance Division with over $600,000,000 in annual sales. He also founded Lama Commercial Real Estate, where he negotiated site acquisitions for a number of large American retailers, including Walmart, CVS, and Rite Aid. During this time, Lama owned a yacht in Miami for his entire family to enjoy.&nbsp;After moving to Miami, Lama combined his love of yachting with his business acumen, establishing <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5135" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Miami International Yacht Sales LLC. (Company)">Miami International Yacht Sale</a>. Lama’s business and negotiation experience enabled him to find his niche in the sale of vessels over 30-metres. He now joins <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/244" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="IYC (Company)">IYC</a> in 2023 after many years of successfully running his own yacht brokerage firm. Lama takes pleasure in finding the perfect yacht for his clients, and supporting them throughout the process.&nbsp;

Robert Lama has joined the IYC team as a Sales Consultant based out of the Fort Lauderdale office.

The Ferretti Group unveiled the latest model in their Custom Line planing range at this year's Miami Yacht Show: the 32-metre Custom Line 106, which will make its debut in late 2018. The Ferretti Group engineering group teamed up with the Italian designer, Francesco Paszkowski on the design, with Paszkowski collaborating with the architect Margherita Casprini on the interiors. In addition, Paszkowski previously worked with the Ferretti Group on the Custom Line 120 series, of which the first hull was recently delivered in the Bahamas. Revealed in detail at the show, the 32-metre Custom line 106 features a walkaround wheelhouse, a split foredeck seating area and cutaway bulwarks creating a flood of natural light inside through the saloon windows.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/26239/image/large-a1855dd4cba193ed60cd590a6a815183.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/26239"> On board, the layout on the lower deck contains four standard cabins, two VIP cabins amidships and two twins forward, all of which have separate bathrooms. The beds in the VIP staterooms face the bulwark to make the most of the view from the large hull windows, while an optional additional Pullman bed can also be fitted in each of the two twin cabins. There is a full-beam master cabin in the foredeck, including two dressing rooms and a large bathroom. To the stern is a more advanced version of the patented DMT - Dual Mode Transom system. This features two hatches that cover the stairs when the vessel is in motion, thus giving the stern a clean-cut appearance. When the ship stops, they disappear into the central part of the door, allowing guests to climb up. In addition, a tender of up to 5.45-metres and a three-person jet ski can be lowered into the water. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/28565/image/large-86e10a2a1447e3f9b9c523c3587360f2.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/28565">Stylistically, the superyacht's interiors are in the same vein as the Custom Line 120, but achieve greater formal balance, with distinctive, strong colour contrasts in the furnishings and coverings. In addition, the design pays particular attention to alfresco areas, with side windows integrated into the hard top on the upper deck, offering protection from the sun and allowing a panoramic view when seated. As is plain to see in various places, efforts have been made to break down the boundaries between the exterior and the interior. The new technical solutions and all of the aspects of the exterior and interior lines are closely interlinked, as they are all parts of a single architectural arrangement with perfect balance between the forms and functions,”&nbsp;explained Francesco Paszkowski.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/28564/image/large-83ba46b51f4220370a569460ee0d5336.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/28564"> The Custom Line 106’ is fitted with twin MTU 16V engines which can take it to a maximum speed of 23 knots, according to preliminary data. As an alternative, twin MTU 16V engines can be fitted which can reach a maximum speed of 26 knots. Ferretti Group unveils Custom Line 106 in Miami 

The<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">&nbsp;Ferretti Group</a> has announced the launch of the first unit of the new model in its Custom Line planing range: the Custom Line 106 motor yacht. The Custom Line 106 was developed as a partnership between the Italian studio, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/586" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Francesco Paszkowski (Company)">Francesco Paszkowski Design</a>, the Ferretti Group Engineering Department and the group's Product Strategy Committee led by the engineer Piero Ferrari. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/67478/image/large-5f3cccfc237f453eb9a8386d7930e177.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/67478">In terms of her interior and exterior design, this can be characterised as intentionally minimalistic, with surfaces merging into each other to break down the architectural boundaries between inside and outside spaces. As an evolution of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/112" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Custom Line Spa (Company)">Custom Line</a> planing line originally designed by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/586" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Francesco Paszkowski (Company)">Francesco Paszkowski</a>, the 32.82-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/YachtModel/7354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Custom Line 10632.83m (107'9&quot;)">Custom Line 106</a> yacht is the latest addition to the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti Group</a> fleet, with <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yacht-news/custom-line-106-motor-yacht-launched" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">the first model launched recently in March earlier this year</a>. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/88426/image/large-0d5c63a8b8f927af1337a7fb4419d651.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/88426"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/88423/image/large-3901d069fcdb1dc5865747f3120ad7fd.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/88423">The 210 GT superyacht sports a sleek profile with taut lines running from the stern to the forward area, contrasting against light structural surfaces and large dark tinted windows. To the stern is the transom system which can be used to cover the stairs with two sliding doors when the vessel is in motion. Sheltered by a hard-top and brightened by two skylights, the flybridge is furnished with sunbeds, sofas, bar, grill, private balcony and the customisable area which can easily accommodate a spa area with whirlpool tub. The starboard guest area and the port service area can be separated by two bronze mirror sliding doors, as guests still have access to the external walkways through two additional doors.
