The 70 metre superyacht Project Kometa currently under construction at the Heesen shipyard in the Netherlands reached a milestone in her construction recently when the hull and superstructure were successfully joined.
The largest project to come out of the Dutch shipyard to date, Project Kometa comes after the renowned success of the 65 metre superyacht Galactica Star, which was launched in 2013. Van Oossanen Naval Architects are responsible for her naval architecture, with exterior design by Espen Oeino. Her interior design has been undertaken by Sinot Yacht Design who has created a timeless light, airy and sophisticated ambiance inside.
Powered by twin MTU 20V 4000 M93L diesel engines, she boasts a top speed of 29.9 knots. She is expected to be ready for delivery in Spring 2016.
