On Monday February the 4th, the hull and superstructure of the new Admiral 44 WJ, with water jets propulsion, arrived on a huge barge in Lavagna.
Built of light aluminium alloy 5083, the brand new Admiral 44 WJ has a length of 44m and she is the “haute de gamme” among Admiral planning yachts.
Her spacious interior can accommodate up to 10 guests and 8 crew members. Ample living space is provided thanks to the “wide body” configuration of her superstructure.
The yacht is powered by three 2400HP MTU 16V 2000 M93 engines and can reach a maximum speed of 32 knots. Propulsion is given by three KaMeWa water jets, offering advantages such as: excellent seafaring capability, no vibrations, less draft, greater speed performances and a great flexibility.
The yacht will be completed under the supervision of the American Bureau of Shipping. Its delivery is set for the end of 2008.
2008 will also see the launch of two 35m, the new 40m and the new 42m yachts. And in July of this year the biggest yacht will be launched, the first Admiral displacement 50-meter superyacht.
