The hull of the second vessel in Perini Navi's E-Volution Gallery has arrived in Viareggio from the Perini Navi yard in Tuzla, Turkey, ready for outfitting, with her delivery scheduled for spring 2021.The sailing yacht features naval architecture from the drawing boards of the San Diego-based design studio Reichel / Pugh and an exterior design by Perini Navi, with Southern Spars having supplied the rig.
The vessel is built from a combination of lightweight aluminium and carbon-fibre in order to deliver the superior performances required to meet the needs of her regatta-enthusiast owner and she has an overall volume of 275 GT. Her interior design will come from the drawing boards of the Barcelona-based studio, GCA Arquitectes Associats. The sloop-rigged E-Volution yacht has a Panamax mast of 62.5 metres, a square-top mainsail and a four-metre bowsprit to accentuate the power of her 1,250 square-metre sail area, with her keel having a maximum draught of 7.4 metres. In addition, to further boost performance, the deckhouse and various other fit-out items are constructed out of carbon-fibre and her propulsion system has also been optimised. "It is always a huge pleasure to see a new yacht,” comments Perini Navi Chairman & CEO Lamberto Tacoli. “This second S/Y 42m E-volution, which is also the first GTS version in the series, is the perfect symbiosis of comfort and performance, and we are receiving a very positive response to it. Thanks to the E-volution, Classic and Falcon Rig galleries, we now finally have a complete range of sailing yachts capable of meeting our clients’ different requirements”.
