Hull turned on 67m Heesen superyacht Project Sparta

Construction on the 67-metre superyacht Project Sparta is well underway, with her hull have just been turned by her builders, Heesen Yachts.Project Sparta under constructionRichard Kaye of Arcon Yachts, who are representing the owner throughout the process, comments: “Our technical team is enjoying working with Heesen and their dedicated workforce. The relationship is one of mutual trust - we share our respective knowledge to ensure we will deliver to the client the best possible yacht.” The superyacht is expected to be delivered to her owner in 2023.Project Sparta under constructionProject Sparta under constructionWith an internal volume of approximately 1,200 GT, Project Sparta is the world’s largest fast displacement hull form motor yacht, currently in build, and is the largest motor yacht of her kind to be built by Heesen Yachts. Van Oossanen Naval Architects and Heesen’s in-house naval architects collaborated on Project Sparta’s naval architecture. Her hull was assembled at Talsma, a steel-fabrication specialist yard, in order to prevent cross-contamination between the commonly used aluminium and steel, which can compromise the integrity of the structure.Project Sparta under constructionWinch Design is behind the superyacht’s interior and exterior designs, having penned Project Sparta’s sporty profile complete with a raised pilot-house and a stepped aft deck area, which features a 6.5-metre infinity pool. Her interior and exterior have been designed to seamlessly connect to one another.Project Sparta under constructionThe tri-deck yacht has been designed to reflect the owner’s lifestyle, designating the entire bridge deck to himself, complete with two suites and an outdoor dining and lounge area. Project Sparta features a full-beam main saloon and an indoor dining area from which her sheltered aft deck can be accessed.Project Sparta under constructionThe superyacht can accommodate up-to 10 guests across five staterooms, including four guest staterooms situated on her main deck. She hosts a crew of 16 at her lower deck.Project Sparta under constructionProject Sparta’s sun deck is home to a full bar, Jacuzzi and large sunbeds.
