The hull and superstructure will be built in aluminium with a mixed longitudinal - transverse structure.Main propulsion will be provided by twin MTU 8V M72, 720 kW diesel engines.The yacht accommodates up to 12 guests in 5 comfortable cabins, including the full beam owner's suite, and the interior, in a first time collaboration will be conceived by the architectural studio Edge Design.After signing the sales contract in August 2009, the aluminium hull and superstructure were completed at Perini Navi Group's Turkish plant, Perini Istanbul – Yildiz. The final outfit work will continue in the Perini Navi shipyard in Viareggio.C.2173 is the sixth 50m sailing yacht in the Perini Navi fleet. Produced by UK-based Insensys, the system is based on three rotating carbon fibre masts capable of deploying up to 2,396 square-metres of sail.
