News from New Zealand comes as Yachting Developments’ full-custom 38.7-metre sportfisher superyacht is nearing an advanced stage of construction with the joining of the hull and superstructure scheduled to take place this month. The yard reports that work is on schedule for a third quarter launch next year.
The two engines were lowered into place in October already with the shipyard now focusing on the fairing of the full ahead of the joining of the two main structures after Christmas. Work on the yacht’s interior, carried out by the shipyard’s in-house department, is also underway with the first cabins already complete and ready to be assembled inside the yacht.
Hull 1015 as she is known, is designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design. This will be the shipyard’s second sportsfisher motor yacht after the 27-metre Satu, launched in 2012.
