In Pictures: first day of racing at Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2018
The fleet was greeted with favourable racing conditions on day three of the 2018 Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta after two days of no racing in Sardinia due to a lack of wind. The race committee made the most of the conditions and sent the fleet out on the water with two back-to-back races outside Porto Cervo.Photo: SuperYacht Times
The first course saw the fleet head north on a short but challenging course to start the day. The second race was further south from the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and the fleet had to deal with shifting winds and patches of rain at the bottom mark of the course.Photo: SuperYacht Times
The carbon speedster from Baltic Yachts, My Song, triumphed in both her respective races and leads Class A after day one. The classic 27-metre Savannah too took the top spot in each of the races today and is leading over Ganesha, Escapade and Ohana.Photo: YCCS
