In Pictures: Superyacht Asean Lady in Singapore

What could be regarded as the most unusual superyacht in operation today is the 88 metre Asean Lady. The Singapore-based vessel features a unique design by Ian Mitchell Design based on the ‘Proa’ concept mastered by sailors in the Pacific over two thousand years ago.

 

The yacht was constructed in China at the Yantai Raffles shipyard (now Pryde) in 2004 where after she was moved to Singapore for outfitting. Her beam of 21.2 metres and large accommodation structure that connects the main hull and stabilising outrigger means Asean Lady boasts a generous volume of of 2385 Gross Tons. Inside she offers accommodation for 22 guests and 18 crew members.
