It was an exciting weekend for the the SYT film crew as a spur-of-the-moment decision was rewarded with some epic footage of the stunning 95m Kismet. After tracking the vessel cruising North, up the English Channel along the Dutch coast on Saturday morning, the team didn’t hesitate to charter a light aeroplane to get a bird’s eye view of this Lürssen-built beauty. A short ferry ride to the island of Texel, and an hour spent in a bumpy ride up in the sky over the North Sea later, here is the result of our very first aerial shoot.
Kismet is certainly one of the German shipyard’s most recognisable creations. The 95m Espen Oeino designed yacht was launched in July 2014 and is characterised by her glistening golden exterior and striking Jaguar figurehead on the bow (not visible in these images). Inside, the Reymond Langton design studio created a lavish yet tastefully decorated interior. This is not the owner's first yacht however, who is known to have owned the 68m superyacht Global (ex. Kismet). In these images Kismet is seen on the final leg of her Atlantic crossing after spending the winter season in Florida and the Caribbean Sea, and arrived in Germany the following day.
