Waikiki, the first from the Explora 90 series was presented to the world last week at the Rio Boat Show. The 28-metre full displacement motor yacht by Inace features an exterior and interior by Fernando De Almeida Yacht Design and a naval architecture penned by in collaboration with Hydro Tec. 
The Explora 90 series has an optimised hull design with high-profile plumb bow that improves safety when navigating high latitudes. Thanks to twin MAN engines, Waikiki has an impressive 3,000 nautical mile range when cruising at 10 knots. She proved her abilities during the 1,600 nautical mile trip from Inace facilities in Fortaleza to the Rio Boat Show, Flavio Constantino, Sales Director of Inace said.
“She had the opportunity to face all sorts of weather during the trip, proving her Inace DNA. We cruised for 6 days at 12 knots, burning just 65 litres per engine with not a single lightbulb burnt. We are very proud.”
Waikiki has been designed for socialising and can accommodate as many as 12 overnight guests. The owner requested a simple, modern and minimalist interior styling that emulates Brazilian beach houses. Fernando De Almeida Yacht Design opted for locally-sourced natural materials that have been used throughout. 
The tri-decked explorer has 230 GT of interior volume and a five stateroom configuration comprising a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck and four additional guest suites located on the lower deck. 
Inace is busy underway with the second hull from the series, which is expected to be launched in eight months.
