Renamed Deo Juvante, she was refitted as a luxury family cruiser, with spacious interior staterooms and a saloon installed. Her sail area was also reduced from approximately 1,000 square-metres to a more manageable 350 square-metres, with Bermuda ketch rigging and twin six cylinder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1883" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Baudouin (Company)">Baudouin</a> engines added. Residing in the Savoy Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar, the couple fell in love with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2342" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Moonbeam IV32.1m (105'4&quot;)William Fife & Sons1920">Moonbeam IV</a> in Greece and decided to restore and relocate her to Burma in April 1999. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/398240/image/large-6cc493de11cb61a3fa3cbeb25715d76f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/398240">Carried out at Myanmar Shipyard, the refit saw a core team of 15 carpenters, almost entirely locally sourced and led by a Chinese master craftsman known as William. The team inspected, repaired and re-fastened her teak planks, leaving more than 80 percent of her originals from 1914. Inside, Burmese rosewood and satinwood were selected for her interior, with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6286" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="T. Nielsen & Company (Company)">T Nielsen and Co</a> assisting with the technical aspects of the project.&nbsp;Relaunched in July 2002, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2342" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Moonbeam IV32.1m (105'4&quot;)William Fife & Sons1920">Moonbeam IV</a> immediately set sail for Auckland, New Zealand, to participate in events surrounding the 31st America's Cup. The refit included major restoration works to her Oregon pine hull and rig, with her teak hull stripped and overhauled, seacocks replaced and a new Vanilla White <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1485" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Awlgrip (Company)">Awlgrip</a> finish applied. Celebrations were taking place in Ancona this week at the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5574" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Extra Yachts (Company)">Extra Yachts</a> shipyard as its second 26.2-metre Extra 86 model was launched.
