Inside Johnson Yachts’ latest 93 superyacht
Johnson Yachts prove they have fully utilised their collaboration with Dixon Yacht Design as they present the latest addition in the series of Johnson 93 yachts. We take a closer look at the 28.3-metre superyacht, and the work of Bill Dixon of Dixon Yacht Design. The four stateroom layout includes a full-beam VIP suite and an on-deck master suite - which is the most notable feature about this semi-custom design. The master suite features dual-level vertical windows for unparalleled views. “This series of yacht came about as a wide-beam design with an on-deck master,” says Bill Dixon of Dixon Yacht Design. “She’s got that owner’s cabin with the wraparound glass, a big leisure space with wide side decks and a good-sized flybridge with a solid hardtop, and good crew’s quarters,” he added.
This superyacht design can be adapted to suit owner’s tastes, with various layouts and semi-custom modifications on offer to make the most of the hull’s volume. “We designed the structure of the Johnson 93 to accommodate customisation and provided Johnson Yachts with the engineering and several layouts, but we sometimes consult on additional accommodation plans,” continued Dixon.
All yachts in the Johnson 93 series feature identical engine rooms, but no two boats have been the same in interior layout. With a pair of 1,925-horsepower Caterpillar C32s, the Johnson 93 will cruise at 21 knots and top out at 24 knots.
Jeff Stanley, the yacht broker at Gilman Yachts in Ft. Lauderdale is the U.S. East Coast dealer for this Johnson 93, who is asking $4,300,000.
