ISS, MIASF and USSA form partnership to present industry training

In a spirit of unique collaboration, three of the industry’s most notable associations - International Superyacht Society (ISS), Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and United States Superyacht Association (USSA) - announce today the formation of YachtInfo, an alliance dedicated to the industry’s professional development.

YachtInfo makes its debut at the 50th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on Friday, 30 October 2009 in the Bahia Mar Ballroom. The comprehensive program offers a wide-ranging curriculum for entry level crew through seasoned professionals. The day-time program builds upon the ISS’s Crew Training Seminar program which has occurred for the past 14 years. Capping the day-long educational series, a Captains Briefing and Cocktail Party will follow. The Captains Briefing will be the second in as many years at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and one more in a series of similar events held previously in St. Marten and Newport, Rhode Island.

While the founders of YachtInfo have already outlined the course curriculum for the Ft. Lauderdale event, YachtInfo will continue to present worldwide educational opportunities for the industry and encourages other yachting associations to participate in creating similar exceptional programs.
