Italian Sea Group opens new construction shed for 80m vessels

The Italian Sea Group expands its construction capacity after opening a new construction shed that can accommodate two vessels up to 80-metres in length. The 126-metre by 26-metre shed is the shipbuilder’s latest move towards expansion.The Italian Sea Group new building shed opening ceremonyInside, the shed is equipped with two overhead cranes with a combined capacity of 60 tonnes as well as an air purification system for filtering out smoke and dust particles. A photovoltaic system with a power coverage of 100 kW and an electrical conversion cabinet will support shipbuilding activities with solar energy.The Italian Sea Group new building shed opening ceremonyThe Italian Sea Group is currently renovating its existing dock to convert it into a covered shed that will be able to host the construction of vessels up to 130-metres. Additionally, the construction of a shed 145-metres by 50-metres is well underway. Upon its completion, it will be able to fit up to eight yachts simultaneously for refit.
