Jade Yachts proved their creativity at the 2014 Taiwan International Boat Show. Instead of taking a place at the dock, they created their own private barge with a shuttle service from the show to their own VIP Island. Docked at the island were the brand new 52 metre superyacht Jade 959 and the Jade 95 explorer motor yacht, as well as the 34 metre maxi sailing yacht Ocean Runner.
The idea behind the island concept was based on the need for exclusivity, as well as relaxation and networking. Memphis Han of Jade Yachts stated, “I wanted to build my own place where my guests could relax and network after they had visited our yachts on display. I was in one of the Shangri La hotels and the ambience was just very impressive and relaxed. So I took a lot of pictures of the hotels there and I sent them to my team and they created the whole VIP Island following the same idea.”
Memphis Han confidently stated, “with 600 employees and 1100 subcontractors we are one the largest shipbuilding companies in Taiwan and we will continue to build yachts after the completion of the Jade 969”.
