The JFA Shipyard just launched a 90ft motor sailor from their shipyard on the French Atlantic coast. The yacht was designed by Joubert - Nivelt - Goeffers naval architects and Rhoades Young Design was responsible for her interior.
Built to Lloyds class and MCA compliant, the aluminium hull and type of engines are usually only found on motor yachts, but the JFA 90 is a true sailing yacht and her twin carbon masts will be stepped soon.
Designed for long range cruises, the yacht is fitted with a spacious deck house, which features a dining room, saloon and the wheelhouse. The three guest cabins and the comfortable owner’s cabin are located on the lower deck, with the two crew cabins close to the galley.
The yacht is powered by twin 285hp Cummins engines and 2 gensets. The engine room occupies the aft area and produces very little noise thanks to the studies by a noise and vibrations consultant.
The construction of the yacht begun in 2006 and after sea trials, she will delivered to and named by her owner.
