The Taiwanese shipbuilder Johnson Yachts has delivered their largest model to date. Named Mitan, she is a 112’ cockpit version of the brand’s 105’ model and features both naval architecture and exterior design by Dixon Yacht Design.
On board, she accommodates up to 12 guests across a five-cabin layout on the lower deck, two cabins of which include a Pullman berth. Aft of the crew accommodation for four is the yacht’s dedicated dive room.
Mitan is constructed in GRP, measures 34-metres, has a beam of 7.2-metres, and a draft of 2-metres. She is powered by twin CAT 1925 HP Acerts engines and features a full suite of Garmin electronics - including night vision - available on her five Garmin monitors.
Started on speculation in 2016, she was delivered in San Diego in mid-April to an American client. Jeff Stanley of Gilman Yachts - the US Johnson Yachts dealer - represented the buyer in the deal. She will soon head to Alaska for the summer months before cruising to her home base in the Sea of Cortez in the autumn.
