Jongert launches Icarus, the sixth Jongert 2700M

Yesterday saw the launch of Jongert’s latest yacht, hull number 425 Icarus. Doug Peterson designed a yacht, which does not only offer sufficient space and volume for the luxurious interior layout, but also has a great sailing performance. A new keel and rudder design will even improve the performance of this fine yacht.

Icarus has some special features like a complete sliding roof for the open deckhouse, two steering positions, open aft deck and sunbathing areas as well as a complete carbon rig. She has a very modern interior design with whitened teak and different materials and colours.

Although they all have a similar interior layout, featuring the owner´s and two guest cabins aft, a lower salon and the galley, dinette and crew cabins in the fore ship, none of the 2700M yachts is alike. They all vary in terms of styling, deck layout, rig and other individual features or requirements of the owners. One of the most important aspects however for the new owner was to have a pre-tested hull with a proven sailing performance and the renown Jongert quality and finishing.
