Grandweld Shipyards have announced that they have been contracted to build the 54-metre Shadow Yacht of which the keel laying ceremony took place last week to mark the beginning of the construction process. The shadow vessel is the first superyacht as part of the shipbuilder’s Freeway Shadow Yacht Series and will be designed in full by the in-house team at Grandweld. Additionally, she will be complete with state-of-the-art navigation equipment, a helipad, a swim platform and tenders and toys storage. The construction of the shadow vessel marks an expansion of Grandweld’s endeavour into larger new builds. On winning the contract for the project, Jamal Abki of Grandweld Shipyards comments, “Grandweld’s design and shipbuilding approach centres on flexibility for the customer, since meeting the customer’s needs is what makes us a favourable choice and ensures repeat business. Our relationships are aimed at long-term partnerships achieved through communication, trust and customer satisfaction.
