KK Superyachts has announced the sale of the Factoria Naval Marin-built schooner Germania Nova. Mike Horsley of Edmiston and Nick Hill at Moravia acted as joint central agents in the collaborative sale of the 55.42-metre sailing yacht. Photo: Ed HoltGermania Nova was delivered to her owner in 2011 following the completion of her steel and wood superstructure and steel hull. Built as a replica of the 1908 gaff-rigged schooner Germania, SDC Ship Design & Consult was consulted to mimic her lines, deck plans and sails and create her modern naval architecture. While her rig is a conventional and non-automated wooden system, Germania Nova boasts modern amenities, such as her galley and navigation system, in comparison to her predecessor (like a modern galley and navigation system).
Interior spaces onboard superyacht Germania Nova, designed by Basque design firm Oliver Design, include five double guest cabins and a central dining hall. The schooner is able to accommodate 10 overnight guests and 13 crew. Power onboard is derived from a single Deutz AG 402 hp diesel engine. Currently, Germania Nova is managed by KK Superyachts, who oversees her regular charter operations in both the Carribean and the Mediterranean. In addition, she is built to Germanischer Lloyd AG class, is fully MCA compliant and flies the flag of Antigua and Barbuda.
At the time of her sale, Germania Nova was listed for €5,900,000.
