Kuiper Dutch Marine Panels' new lightweight fireproofing

Kuiper Dutch Marine Panels has added a new lightweight fireproofing product to its range. At 450 kg/m³, the new Kuiper Marhino 400 panels are 200 kg/m³ lighter than the standard sort normally used for fireproofing boats. The new material is also 100% recyclable and environmentally friendly.

Maximum onboard fire security is of great importance for the safety of crew, passengers and the vessel. In case of fire, flames need to be extinguished as quickly as possible. Marhino panels facilitate this by providing maximum fire protection, safe handling, durability and quality, all combined in one very lightweight material.

Marhino 400 is much lighter than traditional fireproof panels. This makes handling and processing much easier and provides a significant weight benefit for any project. The design division of Marhino International has spent many years developing this revolutionary product. The company takes corporate social responsibility very seriously and therefore only works with fairly produced and traded materials, processed according to the ISO 9001 quality management system. Marhino 400 consists essentially of natural materials such as bio-degradable mineral wool (RAL quality certification), kaolin clay, expanded perlite and starch. The panel is free of formaldehyde and 100% recyclable.

The fireproof panels naturally comply with the highest worldwide quality standards, and are internationally certified and accredited in accordance with IMO (International Maritime Organisation) and Solas (Safety of Life at Sea) regulations.

In addition to Marhino 400 panels, Kuiper provides high quality veneers and hard plastic top layers in an infinite number of combinations. In addition to the more common veneers, the company’s extensive range also comprises scores of exotic types of wood carefully selected for quality by its own in-house experts.
