The superyacht has been sold to a European customer.&nbsp;The sold superyacht features naval engineering by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1757" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Palumbo Superyachts (Company)">Palumbo Superyachts</a>, exterior design by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/289" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Vallicelli Design (Company)">Vallicelli studio</a>, and interior design by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/19" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alberto Pinto (Company)">Pinto</a>, who worked collaboratively on this unique project. 66m ISA custom build superyacht sold

A custom ISA 66-metre superyacht has been sold to a European customer and is set to be built in the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard.

After selling the firm to First Niagara Financial Group, Rob was appointed as the company’s Senior Vice President, where he guided the Insurance Division with over $600,000,000 in annual sales. He also founded Lama Commercial Real Estate, where he negotiated site acquisitions for a number of large American retailers, including Walmart, CVS, and Rite Aid. During this time, Lama owned a yacht in Miami for his entire family to enjoy.&nbsp;After moving to Miami, Lama combined his love of yachting with his business acumen, establishing <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5135" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Miami International Yacht Sales LLC. (Company)">Miami International Yacht Sale</a>. Lama’s business and negotiation experience enabled him to find his niche in the sale of vessels over 30-metres. Balk Shipyard in the Netherlands has been a family-run yard since the 1700s. CEO Daan Balk is the seventh generation of the Balk family to be at the helm of the shipyard. The fast growing yard needed to expand from Elburg to the picturesque harbour town of Urk in 2004. Today it builds and refits superyachts of up to 65m in length in superb facilities, as well as constructing hulls and superstructure sections. Balk Shipyard does constructing for there own projects but even for competing colleagues.&nbsp;After a series of major investments, Balk has two ultra-modern refit halls, a massive construction hall, state-of-the-art workshops and a paint spraying cabin. Very unique is the slipway installation that lifts vessels of up to 1200 tons out of the water. The yard is only a one-hour drive from Amsterdam so easy for owners and their representatives to visit. In 2019 there will be also an airport in Lelystad and that’s 15 minutes by car from the shipyard.
