Well known Dutch marine elevator supplier Lift Emotion tells us they will be exhibiting at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show in September. We talked to Lift Emotion’s Mike Brandt, about their latest developments.
“With clients all over the world, we always seeks the best solution for the end costumer of a yacht project. We feel it as a obligation to deliver a proper and decent project with the highest standards”, Mike tells us. “This results into a constant search for new developments to improve our quality and looks”.
During 2012 and the beginning of 2013 Lift Emotion has picked up the need for a new better and energy efficiency drive system for the hydraulic elevators most common used on superyachts. During this development Lift Emotion also looked at the possibilities for upgrading existing elevators on yachts from lift emotion or other brands.
“For both application we can now deliver frequency controlled hydraulic drive system that will give the end user a leap into the future regarding comfort and also energy usage. Meaning for new projects we can now offer new drive system but also on any Yacht (also with elevators not from Lift Emotion) we can upgrade to a frequency controlled drive”.
Talking about the other developments, Mike continues “With a constant demand of different size and available space on a yacht we have now the availability for new round glass elevator doors where we can chose our standard under driven doors but also a door drive that is on top of the cabin. Under driven car doors give the best looks for the cabin because you can make the car roof really small. however eats up the space under the elevator. Normally we could work with a minimal pith depth of 500 mm but with our newest elevator doors this is reduced to a pit of 350 mm.”
Lift Emotion is currently also working hard on the latest control system allowing the client to control the lift (calling and sending) by means of a app on a IOS. “We think we will have this finished during the Mets 2013 in Amsterdam”.
During the Monaco Boat show Lift Emotion will have a stand at the Darse Sud stand QS27. Here, Mike and his team will be available for your questions and requests. Also it is possible to survey existing elevators (any brand / type) on yachts at or near the boat show.
