The latest issue of the SuperYacht Times newspaper is out now and available to purchase. Marking the 13th edition of the newspaper, we once again travelled all over the world in order to talk to some of the most successful people in the superyacht industry.
One of the highlights in this issue is a fascinating interview with a highly experienced Belgian superyacht owner, Hugo Verlinden. Current owner of the newly-launched 52-metre Seven Sins - the very first of Sanlorenzo’s 52Steel line - we hope you enjoy reading Mr. Verlinden’s tales of his personal superyacht adventuring as much as we enjoyed hearing them.
In Italy we met up with Giovanni Zuccon, the revered head of the Italian design studio, Zuccon International Project. Establishing the company together with his wife Paola over 40 years ago in the beautiful city of Rome, the husband and wife duo are currently paving the way for a new set of leaders: their daughter and son, Martina and Bernardo. We sat down with the Zuccon family as the passionate Giovanni elaborated on the difficulty of exiting, the importance of an increased amount of R&D in the superyacht business, and why they are heavily investing in a brand new headquarters.
In this issue we offer a compelling insight into another well established designer, Philippe Briand, who explores the challenges involved with blending motor and sail, whilst on the opposite end of the experience spectrum we head to Studio Indigo, who entered the superyacht design world with a bang last year after designing the opulent interior on board Feadship’s Joy.
Also featured inside is an in-depth look at Pendennis where joint Managing Director Henk Wiekens proves that it’s not just refits under the yard’s sleeves, a progress update and background story in regards to the very first in the K40 series from Floating Life and CCN, a little more information from Fabio Ermetto in regards to Benetti’s latest introduction, Benetti Now, and an exploration of cruising grounds a little off the beaten track in Raja Ampat, Indonesia.
