British yacht builder Sunseeker has launched the first hull in their newly developed 116 Yacht line. According to shipyard, the yacht’s elegant lines and open plan layout are all design cues which Sunseeker’s next generation 100+ft models will display.

The yacht shares the same proven engineering platform as Sunseeker’s 115 Sport Yacht but features an all-new redesigned deck and superstructure. An area that received much attention is the newly developed foredeck, consisting of a private entertainment area with the option of a large hot tub.

On the interior, the most noticeable new design feature includes larger and lower windows in the full beam master stateroom, creating a brighter living space while affording maximum privacy. The main saloon is another spacious and bright area on board with recessed bulwarks allowing natural daylight to illuminate the entire space and presents guests with uninterrupted views outside.

Launched: First Sunseeker 116 Yacht hits the water

This latest unit is the largest of the series, benefitting from not only an extended sun deck, but an additional 1.5-metres added to her swim platform. Freire 112m Explorer: Spain’s largest superyacht nears completion

The 114.2-metre superyacht Project Cosmos has been technically launched from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/23" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lürssen Yachts (Company)">Lürssen</a>’s facility in Rendsburg, Germany. This is the first time we’ve seen the superyacht, otherwise known as Project 13759.
