First announced in early 2014 that Wider is building a new 50-metre superyacht project, the Ancona shipyard has kept the industry in suspense for over four years as the Wider 165 motor yacht known as Cecilia took shape in her build shed. The yacht was launched and christened yesterday in the presence of shipyard staff and project collaborators in Ancona, Italy.Photo: Wider YachtsPhoto: Wider Yachts
As the shipyard’s second project to date following the success of the 47-metre Wider 150 (now named Bartali) that was launched in November 2015, Cecilia too is based on an advanced hybrid diesel/electric propulsion system that has its origins from the commercial sector. A sophisticated power management system allows hotel systems to run on cleaner energy when required.Photo: Wider Yachts
The sub-500 GT vessel is the design work of Fulvio De Simoni with Idealtalia having designed the interior layout together with the owner’s team. Some of the highlights on board include a helicopter landing pad on the foredeck, private gym with a terrace and the full-beam Wider beach club which the brand is known for.Photo: Wider YachtsPhoto: Wider Yachts
Scheduled for delivery this summer, Cecilia is currently for sale at €30,000,000.
