The New Zealand shipyard Yachting Developments has announced the launch of their latest superyacht project to date, the 33.83 metre Hull 1012. Christened Cygnus Montanus, she entered the water recently after travelling to Auckland's Viaduct Harbour from Yachting Developments' Hobsonville yard.
Designed to be easily handled by a small crew and featuring a lifting keel to allow her access to the most remote of anchorages, this 33.38 metre vessel is perfect for experienced owners. With classic timeless exterior design by Frers Naval Architecture and spacious charming interior by Adam Lay Studio, she accommodates up to eight guests in a full beam owner's cabin aft and three guest cabins. The carbon fibre superstructure of this vessel in combination with a Cummins QSL9-405 engine equip this yacht to undertake blue water sailing around the world.
“Launch day is always special to us as it sees the culmination of the vision of the yacht’s owners and the dedication and hard work of our team,” said Ian Cook, Managing Director of Yachting Developments. “It is a pleasure to welcome Cygnus Montanus to the Yachting Developments fleet and to see her on the water for the first time.”
Cygnus Montanus’ delivery to her owners is scheduled to take place next month when she will depart New Zealand on her maiden voyage.
