Last month Lazzarini Design unveiled its plans for a new 169-metre project, Sovrano. The project takes its name from the word ‘sovereignty’ in order to represent its impressive dimensions.Photo: Lazzarini DesignSovrano has been conceived to be constructed in steel and lightweight carbon fibre composites. The overall shape of Sovrano has been carefully curated to provide the possibility of two heliports on either side. Alternatively, this space can be converted into a pool or spacious lounge area. The lower side of this expansion features a liftable platform that can descend into the waterline through four electronic winches. A crane to the side of the garage allows for easy access in assisting them on to water or land. The transom of the yacht has two cranes and a lifting platform that allow the loading of various vehicles. The sides of the main deck are available to be extended from 22-metres to 33-metres to provide guests with more space. She has accommodation for up to 50 guests across 20 private suites as well as cabins for a crew of 60. There are various pools available on each deck and the interior can be fully-customised to meet the needs of the owner.Photo: Lazzarini DesignPhoto: Lazzarini DesignPhoto: Lazzarini DesignSovrano has been designed to have the latest marine full electric propulsion system powered by hydrogen. This system would be capable of pushing the superyacht to an estimated top speed of 31 knots.Photo: Lazzarini DesignLazzarini Design already has a 130-metre hull in Italy available. The project would start with the extension and enlargement of this hull with an estimated cost of €500,000,000 and a timeline of about four years.
