The next edition of Les Voiles de St Barth will be held from 13 - 18 April 2015 in the Port of Gustavia. Next years edition will mark the 6th anniversary of the regatta, and will include four days of high-performance racing, concerts, and special events.
24 boats are already registered for Les Voiles de St Barth 2015, out of 80 available slots. Among those registered are the 72’ Bella Mente, and its American owner Hap Fauth, returning for another year. New entries include Ran V, as well as the Ker 43 Otra Vez and the TP 52 Balearia, both having raced last year. Cuba Libre, the Volvo Ocean 60 Cuba Libre, and two Swans, Northern Child and Stark Raving Mad are also among those already registered for the event.
Ran V is a much anticipated contender next year. Designed by Judel-Vrolijk, she already made her mark at the Gaastra PalmaVela in Majorca by winning almost every race. The crew comprises top sailing professionals, such as skipper Tim Powell and Steven Hayles, champions of the Volvo Ocean Race, as well as Olympic champion Adrian Stead as tactician.
The winner of the Maxi Yacht class will take home the RM 60-01 Regatta Chronograph Flyback watch, a gift from Les Voiles’ principal sponsor, Richard Mille. The is the first model in a new collection of Richard Mille watches launched in 2014, dedicated to navigation on the high seas.
