Superyacht Al Mirqab in Cannes
Whilst taking photos of superyacht Al Mirqab, young photographer Julien Hubert captured the exact moment that lightning struck above the hills above Cannes, last week.
Al Mirqab is currently the world’s 14th largest superyacht, and was built by the German shipyard Peters Schiffbau in 2008, to a design by Tim Heywood. Andrew Winch designed a highly ornate and very luxurious interior, of which only a handful of pictures were ever released (you can find some here). One of her most spectacular features is a huge swimming pool on the lower deck, which can be opened up to the sea by opening side hatches in the hull.
