It’s not just her size, but most of all her stylish exterior and interior design that impress yacht lovers and make this superyacht an exclusive dream home on the high seas. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List General Contractor (List GC)</a> was commissioned with the project management of the interior fittings on four decks and a total of 745 m² and furnished the yacht with handcrafted special surfaces and exclusive fittings. The owner’s deck is equipped with an informal lounge and the sky lounge deck with a fitness room. We coordinate countless surveying and elaborate feedback and approval processes with the shipyard, design studio and subcontractors, including quality controls, until the assembly process on the yacht, which is accurate to the millimetre, can begin. Herwig Schmallegger, Senior Coordinator Project Management at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List GC</a>, made sure that the project ran without a hitch. “In terms of construction, the project was an extremely small-scale and precise job. From the design idea to the exclusive special surfaceThe stylish mother-of-pearl 3D varnish finish by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List GC</a> is one of the highlights: it adorns the walls and parts of the ceiling of the Spa area and the Informal Lounge. The handmade special surfaces designed especially for the project make the yacht one-of-a-kind. In collaboration with the top-class design studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/65" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Nuvolari Lenard (Company)">Nuvolari Lenard</a>, the surfaces were perfectly matched to the customer’s wishes. Details specified by the design team, in the form of samples or visualisations, had to be created and recreated in detail – for example, from a 10 x 10 cm reference sample to an entire wall with a total area of 200 m². The sampling process continued for several months and required a high degree of creativity and craftsmanship.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/266648/image/large-441f1005e534e430d688b5ed348cee0b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/266648">An essential step here was to ensure that the surfaces were not only visually appealing but also hard-wearing. A common approach is therefore to test in advance how the surfaces will develop over a longer period of time. This is done by exposing the samples to extreme temperatures from -20 degrees to +40 degrees for two weeks – simulating what the ageing process over several years would look like. “When developing the special surfaces, we benefited greatly from our experience working on past superyacht projects. We knew exactly how to integrate all the processes into the tight schedule – and which steps required a particularly close eye or even sensitivity at times,” says Christof Hack, Engineer at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List GC</a>.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/257557/image/large-d57b1dd69bb45706d173f04eb1e48b1a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/257557">A marriage between elegance and safetyAnother highlight in the spa area besides the mother-of-pearl surfaces is the teak ceiling in leaf form, consisting of three large and two small leaves. The client wanted fully bespoke awnings and windbreakers for the helideck, as <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6297" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sherpa73.6m (241'6&quot;)Feadship2018">Sherpa</a> has been known to travel to destinations across the world, including Antarctica. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6888" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SOL-MATES (Company)">SOL-MATES</a> spent a lot of time testing these products to make sure they could withstand strong weather conditions and wind speeds of up to 50 knots. For operational flexibility, the awning and windbreakers have also been designed with fast and easy rigging or removal for crew. The B.Century family further refines its predecessors: embodying the core philosophical principles cemented by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5920" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Artisan63.0m (206'8&quot;)Benetti SpA2019">Artisan</a>, yet emboldened with soft, sculpted styling that gives the family a more organic look and feel. “To create a unique character for the B.Century family we drew each model with clean profile lines that encapsulate the undulating ‘wave’ typical to a <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a>superyacht with visual purity,” Cassetta explained. “What we did with this family in terms of styling is really something that will set a benchmark for some time in this size range. It’s easy to do a sporty, a dynamic or a simplistic design, but at the same time adding this level of functionality is something unrivalled.”&nbsp;Take the 75-metre model – the flagship from the family – we can clearly see this wave running from the bow across the main deck forward, gathering at the superstructure and then gently cascading aft. From this simple line, Cassetta and his team got to work, stretching the design across six decks with deft precision to create a Janis-faced harmony that blends tradition and modernity.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/266296/image/large-01afc09b0502407399c2801cc5d16530.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/266296">&nbsp;“More often than not, our clients are looking for better contact with the surrounding environment and a more informal experience,” Cassetta said. “To cater to these needs we’ve used more glass on the whole family than ever before and ensured that all areas are well connected – walkarounds on every deck is a good example of this. People like to be onboard spending time with family and close friends, so it's less important to create private sanctuaries. The sea club is partially covered by the overhanging main deck, and the shaded area is home to a nest of seats and a casual dining area, leaving room for the glass-walled swimming pool out in the open and positioned to offer guests undisturbed views. She features a high volume normally found on larger yachts, with her interior design penned by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/473" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Overmarine Group SPA (Company)">Overmarine</a>'s technical department, alongside her owner.The first hull in the Mangusta Oceano 39 yacht series boasts floor-to-ceiling windows of her main and upper decks, which can be opened to seamlessly blend her interior and exterior spaces.&nbsp;Her aft area includes foldable terraces to provide direct access with the water, as well as providing guests with total relaxation in utmost privacy.
