Presenting two models at the Hainan Rendez-Vous, the 44 metre Bannenberg & Rowell Scorpio design, and a 65 metre design, Cyril Le Sourd of French shipyard CMN sees their presence at the show mainly as "a great way to learn more about the Chinese culture".
Bannenberg & Rowell have worked closely with luxury yacht builder CMN to produce an unmistakable exterior for the Scorpio project, based on the French yard’s 44 metre platform. Facets, chamfers and muscular changes of plane combine to dynamic effect and an almost exoskeletal foredeck structure conceals the crew working area. "It's an exciting project, which is receiving a great deal of interest over here".
Talking about the Hainan Rendez-Vous, Cyril comments "Luxury Lifestyle is the main purpose of this show, and superyachts are just one element of that, that's what makes this show so different from other shows we visit. Large superyachts are completely new to this market, so we are all here to help educate the market, as well as learn more about it ourselves".
You can visit CMN Yachts at Booth G1, where models of the yard's two projects can be admired.
