Today, at our stand at the Hainan Rendez-Vous, we had the chance to meet up with our friends at Diana Yacht Design, who gave us a sneak preview of an exciting new project, specifically targeted at the Asian market.
"We decided to come to the Hainan Rendez-Vous, to experience first-hand, what this show has to offer", Hans-Maarten Bais, Director at Diana Yacht Design explained. "Our company has quite a bit of experience in this part of the world, back in the late nineties, we designed the 92 metre superyacht Evergreen, which was built in Asia, and more recently, we designed the 44 metre superyacht Amante, which was designed and built for a Chinese client".
"At this moment, we are putting on the final touches on an exciting new project, which we have developed specifically for the Asian market", Diana Yacht Design's Jerry Lakeman proudly explains. "The project, which we will unveil in a couple of weeks, is in the 100ft region, and offers two identical full beam master staterooms down below, as well as a very spacious main deck saloon and dining room. In our experience, this type of customer, likes to spend time on the boat, with a large group of friends and family, so we designed the yacht, with a large dining room, and plenty of room for everybody to sit and relax".
Another key design element on the yacht, is the total separation between guests and crew, a feature normally seen on much larger yachts. "The crew will be able to move through the yacht, without having to pass through guest areas" Jerry continues, "a feature greatly appreciated in this part of the world".
As for the Hainan Rendez-Vous, Hans-Maarten concludes "the show seems to have attracted plenty of highly qualified buyers, and the venue is perfect. We already look forward to future editions of the Hainan Rendez-Vous".
