Mahmoud Itani, Marketing & Communications Director at Gulf Craft, tells us why they attend the Singapore Yacht Show with such anticipation each year.

How important is the SYS to Gulf Craft?

We see the Singapore Yacht Show as one of the pillars of yachting events in this region. The show is very important as it attracts people from all over the Asia Pacific region and not only Singapore, allowing us to display our products in one place to a diverse Asian clientele, and we will continue to invest in this event each year to make this possible. We have two special yachts on display this year and we are even more enthusiastic than last year to meet unique visitors and existing customers. We have been an annual exhibitor at the show since the event’s inception six years ago.

Anything different at the show this year?

Gulf Craft celebrates 25 years serving South East Asia this year. Our first yacht, an Adora 53, was delivered in the early 1990s and has ever since been one of the reasons why we want to continue our brand and product presence in this region. From an operational point of view, everything has been going-on very smoothly with setting up and getting our boats safely into the ONE°15 Marina. The first 2 days of the show went well and hoping for a busier weekend today and tomorrow. We have received some good interest from the visitors here in our yachts on display and preparing to announce a sale of a superyacht at the show, which is certainly a good start.

Apart from your presence here in Singapore, what else is Gulf Craft working on to promote the brand and the yachting industry here in Asia?

We have been focusing a lot of attention on our media presence, particularly in this region. We also find it very useful to be involved in the various associations that are promoting the yachting industry and development throughout the region. Our dealer network based in this region is also complementing our brand presence in the region, whether it is in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives or Brunei.

We are here to reinforce our presence and develop our brand amongst new and unique customers, and the Singapore Yacht Show presents us with the perfect platform to do just that.
