The Cannes Boat Show is not the place where you’ll find the 100 metre plus superyachts of this world. If you’re looking for those, we suggest you try the Monaco Yacht Show. Cannes is more suited to the 20-50 metre yachts. Yesterday we had a chance to take a look at what perhaps is the embodiment of the Cannes Boat Show.
Claude Niek of CSO Yachts was kind enough to show us around JR, a 2008 Aicon yacht. This easy going open vessel has a LOA of 23 metres, with a 5.3 metre beam. JR, a high performance cruiser, sleeps a total of 6 persons and 2 crew and reaches a top speed of 32 knots.
Claude Niek describes her as a boat with a "really good price-quality ratio". With a current asking price of only €700,000 she just might be the steal of this year's Cannes Boat Show.
