The PYA’s management system of the world’s leading Yacht Crew Association has been certified by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) to ISO 9001-2008. PYA is now accredited with ISO 9001-2008.
PYA President Andrew Schofield said:
“PYA is constantly trying to improve the quality of service it provides our membership. As part of this ongoing process, a year ago PYA started to document its procedures with a view to obtaining ISO 9001-2008 certification. This effort culminated in Lloyds Register Quality Assurance, one of the world’s most respected audit and certification organisations, auditing the PYA procedural systems from top to bottom. I am delighted that the audit was successful. It is the result of much hard work from our office team and PYA Council coupled with support from PYA corporate members Safinah, Techman and Task Solutions UK. Obtaining this quality standard is an important step for the PYA, both in terms of quality of service to our membership but also with our ongoing consultations with policy makers. I am sure the benefits to the Association will be felt for many years to come.”
