Mid-June saw the launch of a new 110m Lürssen yacht until now known as Project Opal (hull number 13648). Since her launch we have been sourcing information on this giant new superyacht and we can now report that she will be named Dilbar. With her length of 110m she is the World’s 17th largest yacht.
The Tim Heywood designed yacht is owned by a Russian, who also owns the 66m Oceanco Dilbar from 2005. When completed later this summer, the new 110m Dilbar will be delivered to her owner one month ahead of schedule.
Dieter took the following photos of Dilbar cruising on the Weser towards Heligoland, a small island off the German coast where she will start her sea trials.
