Moon Sand yacht anchored in the British Virgin Islands Photo: Lorian Smith Photographed recently anchored in the British Virgin Islands, is the 55.5-metre Lürssen superyacht Moon Sand. Known as Project 13800 during her build, she is the German yard's smallest superyacht since 1995. Delivered in 2021, Lürssen headed her naval architecture and built her to a design brief penned by Bannenberg & Rowell Design. Bannenberg & Rowell not only coined her exterior styling but were the creative minds behind her interior. Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Moon Sand has a volume of 835 GT and is powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 M53R diesel engines of 1,550 horsepower each.
