The 71m Lürssen superyacht Skat has been sold

The 70.7-metre Lürssen superyacht Skat has been sold for the first time since her delivery nearly 20 years ago. The yacht has an aggressive and military style with a grey hull and superstructure which is emphasised by the combination of reflective construction materials such as steel, aluminium and glass that create her distinctive grey colour and angular windows that famously jut out from her superstructure. Like her exterior, grey is the dominant colour palette within the vessel and the expansive use of glass illuminates the interior volumes. The full-beam owner’s suite is forward with bathroom aft to starboard with shower, bathtub and his-and-hers vanity stations. The yacht has been ingeniously designed to reduce vibration and noise, and Lürssen installed exhaust systems to reduce exhaust noise as well as twin MTU 16V 4000 M70 (2,682 hp) main engines with Koopnautic Searocq 4080 stabilisers for top speeds of up to 18.1 knots.
