Notably, Freudenberg recently received type approval from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1457" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="RINA (Company)">RINA</a>, and the safety concept conforms to the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4531" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="International Maritime Organization (Company)">IMO</a> Interim Guideline and is approved for use on all types of ships. Methanol has disadvantages here compared to diesel, but clear advantages over other alternatives to fossil fuels. The Mumbai Port Authority (MPA) now intends to self-fund its planned marina, according to local media sources. Despite two tender processes, with adjusted bid terms, the efforts failed to attract bidders. In the local press, Rajiv Jalota, chairman of Mumbai Port Authority, stated: "We are not developing it on land; we are developing it in the sea. Studies are at a very advanced stage and clearances should come through." Currently, despite India's extensive coastline exceeding 7,500 kilometres, there are very few facilities for mooring luxury yachts.
