Built under the project name Tatiana, Golden Odyssey was launched at the Lürssen shipyard in Lemwerder in 2015. Little is known about this German giant, but she is believed to have a gross tonnage of 7,600 GT and is powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system. The yacht's timeless exterior is the work of Francis Design while Alberto Pinto was selected to create the elaborate interior on board. The yacht once formed part of the owner’s fleet of privately owned vessels that cruised together known as the Golden Fleet. These included the 80.15-metre Golden Odyssey, now named Grand Oceanthe 66.75 metre Golden Shadow, now named Blue Shadow, and the 30-metre sportsfisher Golden Osprey.
