Video: 124m motor yacht Katara on the French Riviera
As one of the largest yachts in the world and a frequent visitor to yachting hotspots around the Western Mediterranean, the 124-metre Lürssen motor yacht Katara demands attention wherever she goes. Seldomly captured cruising on the French Riviera, SuperYacht Times recently rendezvoused with the Espen Øino-designed superyacht in St Tropez to catch her in action and get a closer look at her impressive deck spaces.
At 7,922 GT, Katara is the 21st largest yacht in terms of volume in the world and ranks as the 27th longest, stretching 124.4 metres from bow to stern. Launched as project Crystal, Katara was delivered by the German shipyard in 2010. The Qatari-flagged yacht was designed by Monaco-based Espen Øino International while the interiors on board are the work of the late Parisian designer Alberto Pinto.Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht Times

This footage highlights Katara’s sheltered deck space and massive helicopter landing pad on the sun deck aft. While the foredeck hides an impressive collection of six jet skis, four custom tenders are stowed on either side of the upper deck, maximising usable interior space at water level.Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht Times
