Magazines & Books - February

Business

We take a look at the latest magazines, books and other yacht publications. This month includes; The Superyachts volume 20, Boote Exclusiv, The Yacht Report, Superyacht Living & Style from Nigel Burgess and the charter brochure of Edmiston!

Magazines:

In the January/February issue of the German superyacht magazine Boote Exclusiv onboards of the Moonen My Issue, the Perini Rosehearty, the Baltic Pink Gin & the CBI Metsuyan IV.

From the office of Nigel Burgess’ arrived the Superyacht Living & Style magazine, a beautiful glossy magazine. The magazine is filled with photos of the most beautiful destinations and the most stunning charter yachts. The photos of Altitude in Portofino are among the best I have seen and a real example of how a yacht should be photographed!

The February issue of the Yacht Report features besides the monthly industry update an interesting interview with the owner of Arcadia and a mini survey of the ten best embarked helicopters.

In the March edition of Boat International on board feautures of The Snapper, Fleurtje and the new Sensation.

Books & Brochures:

Eagerly anticipated, a few days ago this year's creme de la creme arrived on my doormat, The Superyachts Volume 20, 2007. As always the book is a feast to the eye, and this year, at a whopping 416 pages, it's even heavier than before. No less than 21 yachts grace the glossy pages, including some highly secretive vessels such as Kogo and Ice. Apart from showing us 16 motoryachts, and 5 sailingyachts, the writers also take us on a journey to two lesser known dream charter locations, the Coral Sea on board Seafaris, and to the Lakshadweep Islands on board Indian Princess. A must have for every yachtie, and at 90 pounds a good buy!

Calling Edmiston's annual Charter Book a brochure, is like calling Lady Moura a dingy. These days the annual charter guide by Edmiston is over 175 pages thick, features stunning and unique photography, and lists just under 3900 meters worth of yachts available for charter. Required reading!
