Magazines & Books - July

We take a look at the latest magazines, books and other yacht publications. This month includes; Superyacht Industry Boat International, Supersail World, Yachts International, The Yacht Report, Dockwalk, The Crew Report, Yacht Design & Meer & Yachten.

Yachts International publishes their yearly insider’s report on the Top 100 Largest Motoryachts in the world. Also in the July issue articles on Lürssen’s Kistmet, the Azimut 103 and interviews with Donald Starkey, Jennifer Saia (Sacks Group) & Loren Simkowitz (Monocle).

In the third issue of Superyacht Industry articles on three big brokerage houses, Camper & Nicholsons, Edmiston & Nigel Burgess. Superyachts featured include Amevi, Blue Scorpion, Wally Island, Tamsen & Athos. Also articles on superyacht builders from New Zealand; McMullen & Wing, Yachting Developments, Alloy Yachts & Fitzory Yachts.

Boat International has the first on board articles on Marco Polo, Lady Sheridan, Aquamarine and Heritage. The july issue talks about Feadship in a yard update, and takes us to the Antigua Classic Week.

In the June issue of Supersail World (published by Yachting World) the official programme of the Superyacht Cup and features on Gliss, Esense, Mystere, Maltese Falcon, Skylge, Aristarchos & Kokomo.

In issue 85 of The Yacht Report a special reports on the Cheoy Lee Marco Polo and captain Paul Heslop, who captains boats through the Arctic and Antarctic. The Yacht Report also writes about teak, Project USA 2007, yacht ownership and brokerage, management and support and much more.

In the latest issue of Dockwalk more information on the upcoming hurricane season and Michael & Francis Howorth write about the Turkish yacht industry and provide an interesting 7 day charter itinerary. Also an article about crewing as your second career.

Detailed information about Palma de Mallorca can be found in the June issue of The Crew Report. Also a guide about buying a Rib and besides much more there is also an interesting article on Pegaso visiting South East Asia.

Yacht Design, the only magazine focusing on the design aspect of superyachts, has the exclusive on Armani’s new 64m superyacht to be build by Codecasa Yachts. Also noteworthy is their preview on the soon to be launched San Lorenzo 40 Alloy. Featured yachts this month include Como, April Fool, Gliss & Maltese Falcon.

The German superyacht magazine, Meer & Yachten, has articles on Royal Denship’s Turmoil, Sunseeker’s The Snapper, Alloy’s Kokomo, Fitzroy’s Zulu (now Ganesha) and the Canados 90. They also visited the Amels Shipyard and bring us the latest news on the Amels 171 Limited Editions.

The quarterly published Nautica Superyacht International has articles on Baglietto's Blue Scorpion, Benetti's Sunday, the Shama 116, the Azimut 103 S, the Couach 3300 Fly and much more in their 13th issue.

In the Spring/Summer issue of Yachting Matters, the magazine published by Colin Squire, articles on Flip Thomsen and Captain A.J. Anderson. Further they have a nice feature on Lulworth and in the yacht owners supplement articles on furniture maker David Linley and the Moonen Shipyards.
