The London-based design studio State of Craft has unveiled the renderings for a new 120-metre explorer superyacht, MAKO. The bold concept is inspired by the elegance and performance of the Mako shark, and is characterised by fluid shapes and a silver superstructure and hull.

The design serves as a platform for customisation allowing it to be adapted to the needs of a commercial expedition vessel, or the requirements of a private explorer yacht.
Photo: State of CraftThe prestigious design studio, State of Craft has applied their trademark refined sophistication into the design, to result in a ‘zero’ carbon footprint vessel. The MAKO superyacht uses a propulsion system consisting of hydrogen tanks, fuel cells and electric engines, combined with a battery storage system and solar panel.
Photo: State of CraftThe MAKO explorer yacht features an exceptionally wide beach club platform which allows for sports and activities. Her aft garage door also lifts up when opening to allow for tender boats to enter the hull moor internally with ease. The top deck pavilion of MAKO can be used as a night sky observatory, panoramic lounge, fitness studio or yoga space.
Photo: State of CraftThe explorer yacht MAKO contains a large studio flooded with natural light, uninterrupted views and double height. The studio offers a generous and relaxing space for guests to unwind and provides a canvas for comfortable and understated interiors.
Photo: State of CraftThe superyacht MAKO also features a large aft deck that wraps around the vessel providing 270 degree views and creates a sense of suspension above the water. There is also a spacious seating area conceived as a soft “island” sunken into the teak aft deck.
