Mangusta unveils 165 REV superyacht design

Overmarine Group, have unveiled their latest design and flagship yacht of the new Mangusta Maxi Open REV series, the Mangusta 165 Rev, just one day after the launch of the first Mangusta 104 REV. The 50-metre yacht is said to be ‘a celebration of design and functionality, comfort and great performance.’ Mangusta 165 REV yacht design The Mangusta 165 REV is to be designed by Overmarine’s Engineering Department in collaboration with the renowned designer Lobanov Design. She will feature the iconic Mangusta style with curved lines, blended with her streamlined profile, which is inspired by 1930s sports cars.Mangusta 165 REV yacht design A key focus of this yacht’s design is a natural flow between her interior and exterior to ensure her owner can fully enjoy the experience of life at sea. The Mangusta 165 REV will feature interior design by Milan-based architecture firm M2 Atelier, using warm tones to compliment her contemporary aesthetic and abundant natural light. Her floor-to-ceiling windows will accentuate the open-air experience, alongside her foldable side terraces which open up to take in the view. Other interior features will include a main saloon with lounge seating, a large dining area and a bar. Mangusta 165 REV yacht design Mangusta 165 Rev will include a master suite on her main deck, designed as an open-planned loft over two levels, with elongated side windows offering privacy, a private lounge area, an exclusive personal office, and a full-beam bathroom. Her lower deck will be customisable to host up-to five guest staterooms, with the option of either four double staterooms and one VIP stateroom, or four double staterooms and a lounge area or gym.Mangusta 165 REV yacht exterior design Standout exterior features will include a large 36 square-metre beach area with direct access to the sea, a side tender garage able to fit a tender and two Jet Skis, lounge seating and a bar amidships on her sundeck, and a sunbathing area and infinity pool to the fore.Mangusta 165 REV yacht design From a technical point of view, Mangusta 165 REV will be powered by quadruple MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesel engines and four Kamewa waterjets, enabling her to reach top speeds of 34 knots while managing her consumption. She will have a range of 650 nautical miles.
